CONCRETE POLISHING

Concrete Polishing

Polished Concrete is fast becoming the number one choice when looking at flooring options. As well as being used widely in the commercial industry by many big name department stores, it is fast gaining a reputation in the residential industry for being the environmentally sensible solution.  Its practicality coupled with the modern stylish look, along with easy maintenance and durability, has seen its popularity soar in recent years.

Polished concrete is a mechanical grind and polish process that utilizes industrial diamonds & impregnating hardeners and sealers to level, densify, polish, and seal concrete floor. Polishing brings out the natural beauty of concrete by smoothing the surface.

In addition to its extensive life cycle and cost efficiency, polished concrete floors offer a number of benefits. Multiple grinding stages smooth concrete to a smooth high luster finish.

Your options for polished concrete are the level of aggregate you would like to expose, a light, medium or full grind will decide how much grinding will need to be done and therefore also change the price per square foot rate. After the grind is completed we can then go to the level of gloss required.

Some of the Benefits of choosing polished concrete are:

better slip resistance

Provided that they are kept clean and clear of clutter, these floors tend to be less slippery than waxed surfaces, reducing Health and Safety issues and other associated risks.

Easy maintenance

The nature of the surface means that less effort is required to keep the floor clean. Just use a dry microfiber mop to clean, and occasionally use some water.

Stain REsistance

This mechanical process effectively seals the concrete floor and makes it dense enough to be resistant to water, oil and other contaminants.

Improved reflectivity

Increases ambient lighting, making spaces fill with more light organically.

good aesthetics

No dirty grout lines, no fading, no yellowing, and no re-coating.

reduced costs

Reduce your lighting, cleaning and maintenance costs.
